Miriam

Brunette Showroom founder Miriam Alden grew up in North Vancouver, part of a large, close knit family that includes sisters Sophie (of Lisbeth Jewelry), Emily (a film producer) and little brother Mac (a writer) as well as her Mom, Dad, Stepmom, Stepdad, Stepbrother and Stepsister.

Love, support and good values were a huge part of Miriam's childhood in the Alden home, as was spending long days at the barn training as a competitive equestrian with her horse Annie, who she still has today.

After experiences that include graduating from BCIT with a diploma in sales and marketing, writing a column called 'Miriam's Must Haves' for a local paper, working at a sales agency for five years and styling and modeling (she appeared in a September issue of Vogue), it's clear that competitive show jumping taught Miriam the importance of commitment and strong work ethic.

Miriam currently lives in Vancouver, where most days she can be found at the Parker Building, and if not there then walking her dog Gracie Jane, visiting Annie at the barn, or spending time with her beloved friends and family.
